Summary

According to Wikipedia

mewithoutYou is "an American rock band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.” The band formed in early 2001 and played their final Farewell shows in the late summer of 2022.

In that time, they performed mostly as a 5-piece and had 9 different members who contributed as both performers and writers [listed alphabetically by last name]: Dominic Angelella, Robert Brandon Beaver, Gregory Jehanian Jr., Christopher Kleinberg, Richard Mazzotta, Daniel S. Pishock, Raymond Taddeo III, and brothers Aaron and Michael Weiss.

Throughout their touring career, mewithoutYou notably owned and operated a series of charter buses. Each featured seating, storage, and sleeping areas built by the band themselves. Earlier in the band’s tenure, the buses ran almost exclusively on discarded vegetable oil siphoned from restaurant dumpsters (with permission and at no cost), which was filtered and used in place of diesel fuel.

To date: mewithoutYou has released 7 full-length albums, 3 EPs, and 3 live albums. Their musical style is often associated with post-hardcore, folk, indie rock, and rock/alternative, but self-describes as “experimental-punk,” with lyrical themes drawing heavily on Sufi and Judeo-Christian imagery and philosophy.
