About This Release

Brother ☼, Sister ☾, the third album from mewithoutYou, marks their shift into a more nuanced post-punk sound by introducing several acoustic elements into their production. Frontman Aaron Weiss continues to hone his unique vocal delivery, weaving more melody into his signature shouted intonations. Helmed by producer Brad Wood, Brother ☼, Sister ☾ is delicately strung together by a series of "Spider Songs" and uses more parable-like storytelling to explore themes of doubt, identity, and faith, while still infusing them with both deep emotional and spiritual reflection.
